The beginning!

It's been a week since our last day at our corporate job. And in between, we took probably our last expensive holiday to Meribel France where we had 6 days of hard snowboarding (mostly falling and bruising) and complete mental block out. No internet, no mobile phone (not by choice!) and just the fresh alpine air which gave us both nose bleeds and a chesty cough, and brilliant company with our chalet mates.

Im glad for the one week away from it all. I now feel properly 'divorced' from work. The ghost that haunted us throughout the last couple of months was exorcisted on the slopes of meribel. In the blizzard, on the chair lift... We're all creatures of habit arent we? We get used to something, it becomes our lives than things change.

Anyway, this is really my first real entry into this new blog. I call it Ignorance to Enlightenment because thats what I believe life should be all about. From the moment we're born to dying on our deathbeds, hopefully we find the meaning of why we were here.

And both Bjorn and I have left the rat race for now (hopefully forever if we are successful) to seek what life is really all about. We're getting a camper van and are going to drive around the UK and wwoof.org.uk (work on organic farms in exchange for board & food) for the summer. And if we're feeling brave and bored, we might do the same in spain or italy late summer/early autumn.

There's something about going back to nature that i know will surely refuel the spirit & make us happier people. We're starting to realise that we're just human beings, flesh and blood, that need to synch with the earth to feel whole. Which is the way our species have been for thousands of years. So what we're doing, might seem crazy to some people now, is just what our ancestors have done for ages.

So this is the beginning!

Today, we are having a house clearance sale, and at have made almost 50 quid! Was aiming for perhaps 100, but we take what we can get. The rest we'll give away or goes to charity.

Here's just a snapshot of our living room with our stuff!
Anyway, I just thought the getting rid of our 'stuff' is a nice first entry to this blog. Watch out this space for more...!
